gothic lolita headdress

A lolita-style headdress that I sewed and designed myself. I was browsing lolita wear on many sites, and found the dresses somewhat 'cheap' in comparison to the prices offered for a separate lolita headdress. The dressed, complete with a full outfit of the dress, bloomers, and headdress, ranged from 55 to 150 dollars, while the head piece alone costed as much as 18 to 30 dollars! Insane, no? So I got to thinking--I've got the dresses already, and all I really want right now is a nice headpiece to go with them. So, in the spirit of my turkish pantaloons, bloomers, and cherry-print sundresses, I got up my sewing machine, fabric, lace, and ribbons, and decided to make my own. It took only short of an hour. It really was quite simple to make!

My next lolita headdress will be with cat ears, I think. Maybe I'll even make a pink one! I'm also considering making a bonnet, and perhaps another pair of bloomers/pantalooons. Who knows? The possibilities are endless.
